Yal-Day-New was founded by parents in 1980 to provide twelve-month, full-time (8-6), safe, dependable and culturally-rich care to children ranging in age from three months through pre-kindergarten. Yal-Day-New teachers adopt a daily-living approach to teaching traditional Jewish values and observances. We are conveniently located near Cleveland Circle.

Yal-Day-New is a kosher-dairy facility. The Center incorporates Jewish culture into all facets of the school -- teaching the Hebrew alphabet alongside the English one, celebrating Jewish festivals, drawing themed pictures in art classes, and taking the children on specialized field trips that coincide with holidays to make them more tangible and understandable for the children. Yal-Day-New also hosts evening Chanukah, Purim and Graduation parties that help transform Yal-Day-New from a day care center into a community.

Yal-Day-New is the only Jewish day care center in the Brighton/Brookline/Newton area that provides care to infants. By providing care for kids from three months until kindergarten, YDN provides continuity in the lives of the children and families it serves. Continuity is important for helping children feel loved and safe, for developing lasting friendships, and for creating a supporting community of families.

Yal-Day-New welcomes students from diverse cultural, religious, and ethnic backgrounds. In addition to English speaking staff, Yal-Day-New also has teachers that speak Hebrew, Russian, Albanian, and Polish. Yal-Day-New serves a truly international student body.

Yal-Day-New can accept children from 7:30 am to 6:00 pm and offers both part time and full day schedules.
