Yal-Day-New was founded by parents in 1980 to provide twelve-month, full-time (8-6), safe, dependable and culturally-rich care to children ranging in age from three months through pre-kindergarten.
Yal-Day-New teachers adopt a daily-living approach to teaching traditional Jewish values and observances.
The Center incorporates Jewish culture into all facets of the school -- teaching the Hebrew alphabet alongside the English one, celebrating Jewish festivals, drawing themed pictures in art classes, and taking the children on specialized field trips that coincide with holidays to make them more tangible and understandable for the children.
Yal-Day-New also hosts evening Chanukah, Purim and Graduation parties that help transform Yal-Day-New from a day care center into a community.
